A recoverable connection
Etchv provides forensic watermarking for supported images, PDFs and video: tracing leaked files, checking photo licenses and keeping records of AI images. Our aim is to make an invisible watermark a normal part of how developers publish and share content.
An API that fits your platform
Add a watermark as a file goes out, keep your records in your own system, and check a copy when you need to investigate. The whole API is a handful of clear operations.
Honest about the evidence
We believe security tools should be clear about their limits. A watermark shows which copy a file came from, not who owns it or who shared it. Etchv finds its own watermarks; it can’t tell whether any image was made by AI. And we say what we have measured, not what we hope.
Writing
We write about invisible watermarking, detection results and running the service on the Etchv blog. Leak Ledger and essays appear under Whistler, the pen name of one of the people building Etchv.
